Easterbrook kick start the Summer of Song with ABC

Easterbrook Hall are delighted to host great night of entertainment and the best way to kick off the regions 'Summer of Song'.

Throwback to the 80's and enjoy a night of nostalgic tunes with live performances by ABC and the stars from the commitments.

Martin Fry and his band ABC will be headlining - One of the most popular new wave bands of the early 80’s. ABC’s new single and album is currently all over national radio and the BBC ‘The Lexicon Of Love II’ will be released on 27th May. ABC were said to have built upon the detached, synthesized R&B pop of David Bowie and Roxy Music, adding a self-conscious sense of theatrics and style.

The evening will also feature The Stars From The Commitments, a gritty Dublin based nine piece soul band who feature some original cast members from the popular movie The Commitments. Following its release in 1991 it has since been voted as the best Irish film of all time. Meanwhile the former cast members and other musicians have toured the World delivering a powerhouse soul set which has even impressed the likes of former American president George Bush. Event attendees can expect to hear classic tracks like Mustang Sally, Take Me To The River and Nowhere To Run.

Tickets priced from £20 are avaliable from qosfc.com, Easterbrook Hall and there is more information at www.westsoundradio.com
