DGHP - DGChamber Partner for Business

DGHP is about more than just houses – we change homes and transform lives. Our approach is unique. We manage a governance structure with our tenants at its very heart – this enables our tenants to have a valued input into the ownership and management of their homes and communities. This keeps local decisions local and makes DGHP different from other housing associations.

At DGHP we are all extremely proud of our achievements, having invested more than £200 million in improving and maintaining out tenants’ homes since coming together in 2003. DGHP has a significant role in many of towns and villages in Dumfries and Galloway, owning and maintaining around 10,300 homes in Scotland’s third largest region covering some 2,380 square miles.

DGHP has achieved all promises made at our inception back in 2003 as well as the largest regeneration project in the region – building hundreds of new homes in northwest Dumfries and Stranraer. We are proud of our community ties and involvement ranging from engaging with local tenants to supporting local contractors.

We aim to involve our tenants in everything we do. Tenant representatives are active on our Board, along with our Independent members, all of whom are passionate about getting the very best for people living in DGHP properties. Our tenants also make up our District Management Committees (DMCs) which helps to keep decisions local.

Our governance structure is unique – designed around our tenants to ensure they have direct and valued input into the ownership and management of their homes. Our tenants benefit from a fast repairs service which is reviewed and tailored to tenant feedback on a regular basis.

Our investment programme continues across the region. Improvements continue to ensure every tenant has a modern kitchen and bathroom, full central heating, double glazing, insulated external doors and electric wired smoke alarms.
